BARBADOS OFFICIAL: IF THE US DOESN'T PROSECUTE CHRIS BROWN ... WE'LL LOOK INTO BRINGING CHARGES!!!

February 17, 2009. Chris Brown may have more to worry about than just U.S. authorities. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with an official from Barbados who claims that they may be interested in prosecuting Chris Brown if the U.S. fails to bring adequate charges against the R&B singer. The official, who spoke to MediaTakeOut.com on the condition of anonymity explained, “[Chris Brown] has spent time with Rihanna in Barbados. If he abused her while here, we would be interested in looking at prosecuting him.”And there’s reason to believe that Chris may have assaulted Rihanna while in Barbados. TMZ.com reported last week that Rihanna told police that her relationship with Chris Brown was an "ongoing and escalating abusive relationship."It’s not clear what, if any, charges could be brought against Chris Brown in Barbados. It’s also not clear whether, if convicted of a crime in Barbados, US authorities would be obligated to extradite him to the Caribbean nation.Members of the press ARE REQUIRED to credit MediaTakeOut.com for its ORIGINAL report
