New York Knicks star Stephon Marbury has reportedly partnered with Bow Wow to launch a sportsman line of clothing to his already successful Starbury line of affordable shoes.
Marbury was one of few entertainers to go against the over-priced Jordan-esque sneaker dream and instead produced quality yet affordable sneakers. Bow Wow will join and help Marbury launch a line of affordable leisurewear for youngsters, Bow Wow said, "I think families should have a real choice. I want my fans to be able to wear nice shoes and clothing and to also have money in the bank. The smart consumer can have both."
Everyone is smartening up in this recession. Marbury star power is fading with his record in New York and Bow Wow – well – isn’t shining to bright either. But maybe this will keep a few kids from fighting over foolish designer clothes and expensive sneakers.
