Rapper T.I. Gets To Vote For The First Time Before Heading To Prison

Rapper T.I., 28, voted for the very first time this past Wednesday in McDonough, Georgia at the Henry County Elections and Registration Office. According to reports the rapper believed that his voting rights were revoked due to multiple violations (convicted felon) and having served probation before. After researching, the rapper discovered that under a Georgia law, felons are eligible if they’re not currently serving probation or a prison sentence.

T.I. currently must perform 1,000 hours of community service and will be heading to prison for a sentence of one year and a day in ‘09 after he has completed community service. The community service and prison sentence came into play after the rapper was arrested for buying machine guns and silencers during an undercover sting from federal agents in October of 2007, hours before a BET Awards Ceremony.

In other news, the rapper just released his latest album “Paper Trail” on September 30, 2008 after numerous date changes. All of T.I.’s six singles from the album have managed successfully to hit Billboard’s Hot 100.
