Lil Flip to speak on the TI/Shawty Lo beef?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We haven't heard from the guy in quite some time, and to be honest....it might be because Tip kind of made dude irrelevant, but that doesn't seem to matter now. TI has been in a heated beef with D4L boss Shawty Lo for the last few months that has recently hit its peak. Shawty Lo recently released a behind the scenes video of him and his cohorts discussing Tip's origins, on top of a new music video where Shawty Lo fiercely disses Tip in the final verse. TI had remained quiet on the situation until about a week ago when he stated at a concert in the Midwest that he will always have haters and more specifically, had some choice words for Shawty Lo.

This all stems from the allegations that Tip was not raised in Bankhead, which he has claimed since day one. Lil Flip was one of the first emcee's to point out that Tip went to high school in Riverdale, which is what Shawty Lo has picked up on and used as his main point of contention. So what does Lil Flip have to say about this? We reached out to one of our sources in Flip's camp and we were assured that while Flip still feels TI was not completely truthful about where he was from, Flip has no intention of commenting on the beef between the two. Shawty Lo recently reached out to Flip in an attempt to get him on a track to speak on the situation but Flips feels that while he is cool with Shawty Lo, his beef with Tip is a thing of the past and he has no intentions of reigniting that fire.

In case you forgot, the argument between Flip and TI came about by both claiming to be the "King of the South". While the beef remained on wax, there were several close calls with TI calling out Lil Flip on stage during an ATL music festival, and TI being attacked while filming a DVD about Lil Flip in an attempt to expose him for claiming he was from a certain area of Houston when he really wasn't. In fact, TI released a phone call he had with Houston legend Scarface in an attempt to find out how legit Flip was. Scarface refused to co-sign dude at all, going as far as saying that he has never seen Flip in the hood.

The two eventually solved their problems when Rap-A-Lot CEO J. Prince mediated a meeting between the two and got them to agree that while they may have disagreements, they need to share a common goal and that is to make the South number 1.

Would you like to hear Lil Flip comment on the situation with TI and Shawty Lo? Who's side do you think he would take?
