After a three-year hiatus, Michael Jackson is back in court for allegedly taking a $7 million advance for an album he never produced. According to the Associated Press, The King of Pop is being sued by songwriter Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the son of an Arab monarch who claims Jackson is responsible for expenses paid on a book and joint recording projects. Jackson vehemently disputes that the money was a gift.
The lawsuit is just an addition to Jackson’s financial woes. The “Thriller” star was forced to give up the deed to his Neverland ranch last week. The trial is being held in London and is due to wrap up by the end of November.
Just when the pop icon is set for a comeback, somebody “wanna be startin’ somethin’!”
