Hip-Hop Pioneer MC Breed has Died

Rapper MC Breed best known for his collaboration with Tupac Shakur on “I Gotta Get Mine” and other classics like “Ain’t No Future in Yo Frontin” has died Saturday according to his publicist. Breed was in the process of revamping his music career with a potential contract with Ichiban Records and a new album to be titled, “Mc Breed - The Original Swag” before succumbing to apparent kidney failure. Sway of MTV had this to say about his friend, “I can honestly say that no rapper at the time made more people aware of the Midwest than MX Breed….Breed was important to the evolution of the rap game because he proved that Midwest rappers can make hits and sell records.” R.I.P
